objectives:
Support EU policies in the fields of health, energy and the environment to
ensure that European capability is maintained in relevant fields not covered
by the 7 thematic priorities.
Thematic

:: Innovative concepts
- Improved and safer processes for the generation and exploitation
of nuclear energy
:: Education and training
- Development of a more harmonised approach for education
in nuclear sciences and engineering
- Support for fellowships, training courses networks and
grants for young researchers from NIS and CEEC
:: Safety of existing nuclear installations
- Plant management (ageing, fuel performance, severe accident
management, advanced numerical simulation, integration of
capabilities and knowledge from practical decommissioning
etc.)
Budget:
The indicative budget allocated to Other activities in the
field of nuclear technologies and safety for the duration
of FP6 is EUR 50 million.
