How to manage a project?

FP6 Step by Step contains a section on " Managing a project ". This provides useful information to help project contractors in the management, problem solving and reporting activities of their projects.

In addition, the specific activity area Web services present information on the management of the projects.

Financial Guidelines

This Guide to Financial Issues relating to indirect actions of the Sixth Framework Programme is intended to provide to the participants in FP6 projects, as well as to the Commission services, in a single and, as far as possible, complete document:

  • information on the financial aspects of the main indirect actions of the Sixth Framework Programmes;
  • relevant references to the applicable legal framework;
  • concrete examples, as well as suggestions for good financial practices to be applied when carrying out EC-funded RTD projects.

Reporting

    These guidance notes provide guidance and instructions to assist consortia in preparing the reports and deliverables which are required by the Commission during the lifetime of the project. They also describe the procedures for their submission to the Commission and contain brief explanations of the review procedure.

    This is an Excel workbook for completing and submitting the financial statements in FP6 for Integrated Projects, Networks of Excellence, Specific Targeted Research or Innovation Projects, Coordination Actions and Specific Support Actions.

    This web based application allows the online submission of questionnaires for Integrated Projects, Networks of Excellence, Specific Targeted Research or Innovation Projects, Coordination Actions, Specific Support Actions, Co-operative Research Projects and Collective Research Projects.

  2. Marie Curie Actions (EST, TOK,RTN, SCF, LCF, EXC, EXT, IEF, IOF, IIF, ERG, IRG)

    Provide guidance and instructions to assist contractors in preparing the reports and deliverables which are required by the Commission during the lifetime of the project. They also describe the procedures for their submission to the Commission.

     

    This application provides the necessary tools for preparation and submission of all contractual project reports.

  3. Research Infrastructures Action

    Provide guidance and instructions to assist contractors in preparing the reports and deliverables which are required by the Commission during the lifetime of the project. They also describe the procedures for their submission to the Commission.



Marie Curie Questionnaires

The online Questionnaire will guide you to the different types of questionnaires, it is also intended for users (other than contractors), who in a project have to submit assessment and follow-up questionnaires. The submission of questionnaires is anonymous and requires no username or password.

Review Reports

This link gives access to the Review Report form, to be completed by the reviewer of the project, and to the Project Quality Indicators (PQI) form, to be completed by Project Officers in the services using these.

Guidelines on amendments to FP6 contracts.

These guidelines provide the basic principles for making amendments to FP6 contracts and apply to all instruments. They deal with the form of the amendment and the process for approval (explicit or tacit). They also include model letters and explanations for using them.
