Bonus Scheme

Research operators from less-prosperous regions find participation in FP6 a useful and beneficial exercise. However, they may discover that, by so doing, they are using resources that they need elsewhere.

To help such organisations carry out more R&D;, the groundbreaking "BONUS" scheme provides an opportunity for FP6 participants from less prosperous regions to obtain a financial top-up for their project from the European Regional Development Fund. For more information see:

Joining a project

During their initial negotiation with the European Commission, Integrated Projects (IPs) and Networks of Excellence (NoEs) may reserve a portion of the project budget for specific tasks to be carried out by a new contractor or contractors, who will join the consortium at a later date. New partners will be selected from proposals submitted in response to a competitive call.
