Enhancing opportunities for participation in FP6-Priority 6.1: Energy research
Information & brokerage seminars on medium to long term research on sustainable energy systems
Following the recent launch of the 6th Framework program, the first Call for proposals is being planned by the middle of December 2002. In the field of Sustainable Energy Systems (medium to long term research), the Research DG of the European Commission, together with on-going thematic networks, is guiding and supporting the organisation of information and brokerage seminars aimed at addressing the main issues and challenges and helping to optimise the forthcoming preparation and submission of proposals. The following events are being planned:
The main objectives of these European Seminars are:
-
To inform on the content of the Work Programme and particularly the first call for proposals, clarify possible doubts on scope, structure, content, evaluation criteria and process, relevant to the different instruments available.
-
To discuss the opportunities offered by the new instruments (networks of excellence and integrated projects), which will be used as a priority.
-
To invite potential proposers (e.g. deriving from successfully perceived topics submitted as Expressions of Interest) to present and discuss the objectives, scope and possible structure of consortia anticipated for those actions.
-
To better involve new potential participants in the preparation of proposals, facilitate contacts between the planned initiatives and indicate possible overlaps, interactions and synergies.
