Cognitive Systems and Robotics: Call 9

 

FP7 ICT Call 9

ICT Call 9 of the 7th Framework Programme opened on 18th January 2012 and will close on 17th April 2012. The indicative budget for Objective 2.1 (Cognitive Systems and Robotics) in Call 9 is €82 million. To submit a proposal, please consult the official Call 9 website.

 

The Call for Proposals

The Call focuses on specific targets as outlined in the current ICT Work Programme 2011-2012:

IPs and STREPs (max 80 M €):

  • Cognition and Control in complex systems (IP and STREP) (target b)
  • Gearing up and accelerating cross-fertilisation between academic and industrial robotics research (IP) (target c)

CAs (max 2 M €):

  • Speeding up progress towards smarter robots through targeted competitions (CA) (target e)
Proposers have the chance of sending a pre-proposal to the Commission for a first opinion. To do so, please fill in the pre-proposal form and send it to: infso-challenge-2-1@ec.europa.eu. The description of the proposed work should be 2-3 pages long.

 

FP7 ICT Call 9 - Info Day

On 15th November 2011, the European Commission organised an Info Day on Call 9 in Brussels. Participants had the possibility to discuss their proposal ideas with Commission staff in bilateral meetings, and a workshop session dedicated to Target(e) – Speeding up progress towards smarter robots through targeted competitions also took planned.
