- The 2010 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS2010), to be held on October 18-22, 2010 in Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) at Taipei, Taiwan, during 2010 Taiwan International Robot Week. In conjunction with IROS2010 Conference, there are 2010 Taipei International Robot Show and several International Robotics Competitions will be taken place at the same venue. The conference is soliciting papers from the academic, industrial and government communities to present their results and to exchange ideas.
- 20-22 October 2010
- International Conference on Intelligent Automation and Robotics
- San Francisco, USA
- The conference ICIAR'10 is held under the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science WCECS 2010. The WCECS 2010 is organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), a non-profit international association for the engineers and the computer scientists. The congress has the focus on the frontier topics in the theoretical and applied engineering and computer science subjects. The last IAENG conference has attracted more than five hundred participants from over 30 countries. All submitted papers will be under peer review and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceeding (ISBN: 978-988-17012-0-6). The abstracts will be indexed and available at major academic databases. The accepted papers will also be considered for publication in the special issues of the journal Engineering Letters, in IAENG journals and in edited books by publishers like America Institute of Physics and Springer.

- Multi Autonomous Ground-robotic International Challenge
- Australia
- The Multi Autonomous Ground-robotic International Challenge (MAGIC 2010) is jointly sponsored by the Australian and US Departments of Defence to attract innovative proposals from worldwide research organisations to develop next-generation fully autonomous ground vehicle systems that can be deployed effectively in military operations and civilian emergency situations.
- 15-18 November 2010
- 2nd International Conference on Simulation, Modeling, and Programming for Autonomous Robots
- Darmstadt, Germany
- Novel robotics applications driven by research, industry and society call for the development of systems of ever increasing complexity: systems with sliding autonomy; humanoid robots; distributed robots; mobile sensor networks, and so on. But nfortunately, steady improvements in robot hardware have not been matched by corresponding advancements in robot software. Besides fundamental open problems still waiting for sound answers, the development of new robotics applications still suffers from the lack of widely used tools, libraries, and algorithms ready to be incorporated into new rojects. Simulation environments are playing a main role in reducing development time and cost of large scale systems. But their use is still regarded by many with skepticism. Seamless migration of code from general purpose simulators to real orld systems is still a rare circumstance, due to the complexity of robot, world, sensors, and actuators modeling. These challenges drive the quest for next generation of methodologies and tools for robot development. The objective of the International Conference on Simulation, Modeling, and Programming for Autonomous Robots (SIMPAR) is to offer a unique forum for these topics and to bring together researchers from academia and industry to identify and solve the key issues necessary to ease the development of increasingly complex robot software, and to boost a smooth shifting of results from simulated to real applications.
