This report gives a quantitative analysis of the performance of FET-Open in FP6, and traces its evolution over time by comparing it to performance in FP4 and FP5. This report is the result of an analysis of the impact of FET-Open in a number of complementary dimensions in Framework Programme´s 4 and 5. The report traces the progress of the scheme in opening new possibilities, setting the agenda for future research programmes, exploring alternative technology solutions for industry, and confirming the path-finding role of FET in IST. -
