FET Proactive - FP7 Call 4 Workshop
CHEM-IT: Bio-chemistry-based Information Technology
Budapest, 21 January 2009
Presentations given at the workshop are online
Following the publication of the work programme 09-10 and in preparation of the upcoming call 4, we would like to stimulate the scientific community to share
ideas on future research activities through interactive workshops/meetings.
In light of the call for proposals on 'Bio-chemistry-based Information Technology (CHEM-IT)', this workshop should focus on research that will enable the
exploitation of the information processing capabilities of biological cells. The general objective of this call is to develop the foundations for a radically new
kind of information processing technology inspired by chemical processes in living systems.
The aim of the workshop is to share and elaborate on visions and opportunities for CHEM-IT research in 2009-10 and beyond. For this purpose speakers will be
invited to present their ideas on the research challenges related to this area. The meeting will be open for anybody interested and there will be ample room
for discussion.
