26-28 January 2010, Brussels

Dear Colleagues,
We would like to announce the registration opening for the Future Networks 5th FP7 Concertation Meeting, which will take place in Brussels from 26 to 28 January 2010.
The purpose of the Concertation meeting is to bring together the ongoing FP7 projects funded under the Network of the Future objective to facilitate exchange of results and achievements, and build consensus.
In particular, the Concertation Plenary Session on 27 January will bring together for the first time the running Future Networks projects with the new Call 4 projects which will start their activity in 2010. We are confident that you will take full benefit of this opportunity to build fruitful and strong project cooperation for the network research community.

• The role of virtualization in future network architectures
Call for Contributions
All the projects of the cluster are invited to submit a proposal for a presentation before 18 December 2009.

• • • ETSI Workshop on Future Network Technologies, 10 - 11 March 2010, Sophia Antipolis, France
The first phase of EC-funded FP7 research projects on Future Networks is now at a stage where real results are being produced.
It is therefore time to consider pre-standardisation or standardisation of some of the results, especially on infrastructure or network technology issues. The key goal of this workshop is to identify potential needs for standardisation or pre-standardisation of Future Network Technologies at ETSI. !
