|
The 1st FIRE ‘Open Calls’ Information Day is an information day organized on 9 February, one day before the Future Networks 7th FP7 Concertation meeting also in Brussels. It is related to the Open Calls to be published by three of the FIRE experimental facilities. These Calls follow similar procedures as standard FP7 Calls for proposals and benefit from funding from the projects; they may be of interest to the Concertation meeting participants.
The FIRE - Future Internet Research and Experimentation - Initiative was launched at the beginning of 2007 as part of Framework Programme 7 (FP7). It builds on the "Situated and Autonomic Communications" Initiative and other internet-related projects funded under the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Programme, as well as on several projects launched as Research Networking Testbeds already operating under FP6.
