February 2013: CONNECT Advisory Forum
As part of the preparation for Horizon 2020 DG CONNECT is setting up a new advisory structure – the CAF (CONNECT Advisory Forum for ICT Research and Innovation).
The CAF is expected to become the essential platform helping the Commission and more specifically DG CONNECT to deliver across the Union a radically improved ICT research and innovation community. A community open to all citizens, not only to science insiders and grant beneficiaries, but also to potential users and all other interested parties.
The CAF should contribute to an ICT research and innovation portfolio that is engaged with citizens, attentive to individual impact and responsible; that drives out-of-the-box work, agile research and disruptive innovation; that support SMEs as well as major players.
