Communications for Smart Systems

This cluster regroups several projects dealing with Telecommunications, Internet of Smart Things and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems for Radio Frequency (RF-MEMS).
RF-MEMS refers to a sub-group of the Smart Systems family with sub-millimetre-sized components which provide RF functionality. The inclusion of MEMS in Radio frequency or Microwave frequency circuits or systems creates an addition level of functionality in several different fields, from telecommunications to radar and space applications. The purpose of this RF-MEMS cluster is to bring related projects together, to exchange knowledge and experience, and to cross link the various players in the field.
This cluster also covers activities related to Energy Autonomous Communication systems and the RFID using heterogeneous materials like plastics and paper to do electronics for memories, logic and radio circuitry.
