Our task is to strengthen Europe's welfare and the global competitiveness of the nanoelectronics component and smart electronics systems industry in Europe by stimulating research, development and innovation in the nanoelectronics field.

Through our projects, we promote the development and use of nanoelectronics in a wide range of fields essential for the EU society: from telecommunications to health care, from industrial, environmental and energy applications to security and safety, from transport and mobility to infotainment.

Overall Objectives

  • Promote investment in research and innovation in nanoelectronics in both the private and the public sectors
  • Put forward excellence in nanoelectronics R&D&I to the benefit of the EU economy and society
  • Promote the transfer of R&D results into a digital single European market, while supporting innovation in advanced ICT products and systems of a high societal and economic relevance
  • Promote and support the transfer of R&D&I results in prototyping and manufacturing in Europe
  • Promote nanoelectronics as a key enabling technology (KET) and enhance the competitiveness of the European landscape globally while maintaining and attracting new investments in nanoelectronics on the European territory.
  • Advocate the implementation of the Digital Agenda and make suggestions for reaching the EU 2020 goals for a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth

Our aim is to make Europe the best in nanoelectronics research, and the best in translating those results into real innovation.
