This video were created in order to explain, promote, and attract new contributors to the Future Internet initiative. The video outlines a number of the basic themes of the European Union's Future Internet initiative and is aimed at non-computer experts. The Future Internet themes included in the video are: an Internet of Services, where services are ubiquitous; an Internet of Things where in principle every physical object becomes an online addressable resource; a Mobile Internet where 24/7 seamless connectivity over multiple devices is the norm; and the need for semantics in order to meet
the challenges presented by the dramatic increase in the scale of content and users.

The audiovisual search engine integrated project PHAROS will run its summer school in Como, at the Polo Regionale of the Politecnico di Milano, on June 22-26, 2009. The Summer School will engage students, researchers, and practitioners inthe most challenging topics of next-generation search technology, explained by top international experts in the field from both academia and industry.

MOBILE3DTV presented the current state of the development on the project with very spectacular demonstration. Participants in the demonstration from MMSolutions site were Nikolay Daskalov – CEO, Radoslav Ibrishimov and Gjorgji Rosikopulos.

Managing ICT projects in FP7 - Best practices from TA2
This training seminar aims to exchange best practices in the management of ICT research projects in FP7, in order to achieve better project management. The contributions reflect practical experiences from the Integrating Project TA2 and other experiences of the TA2 partners.
The discussion of best practices in each session will be kicked off with a short presentation by an experienced project manager. 20 May 2009, Heidelberg, Germany.
PHAROS is organizing a special session at the IEEE conference Content-based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI 2009, Chania, Crete, June 3-5, 2009), "Multimedia indexing for content-based search engines: Experiences from EU research projects". The presentations will discuss approaches adopted within the most advanced European research projects in the field. The addressed topics will span from techniques for automatic annotation of multimedia contents, to frameworks for annotation composition and fusion, to design approaches for content-based indexing.
