OLAE 2010 Cluster/Concertation Meeting

Brussels , Belgium on 14 & 15 June 2010


The 2010 Organic and Large Area Electronics Cluster/Concertation Meeting was held in Brussels on 14-15 June. More than 60 attendees, coming from both industry and academia, participated in this event and presented their latest research in organic electronics.

The event brought together 34 projects, financially supported through the European Commission' 7th Framework programme, dealing with a broad spectrum of advanced research on organic electronics and applications. The two-days meeting agenda grouped several main research and support areas for discourse: lighting & displays; organic photovoltaic; organic electronics, materials & sensors; manufacturing technologies, integration & devices; as well as the OLAE research activities coordinating and supporting Quadriga projects.

The objectives of these events were:

  • Consolidating the OLAE community in Europe
  • Addressing common issues and roadblocks / "red brick walls"
  • Moving on the innovation: "value chain", technology transfer
  • Moving to standards
  • Identifying future topics for OLAE community, member states, and EU to address
  • Discussing joint research initiatives and research topics
  • Preparing for the next call(s)
