The ICT PSP Workprogramme 2009 included a theme on Internet evolution and security (including RFID). Following a call for proposals, the SEMIRAMIS project was selected.
SEMIRAMIS defines a Pilot infrastructure to provide e-services with the required underlying secure authentication and management approach and tests it through two scenarios representing a large number of options related to ID Management and Secure Data Transfer.

Closed Projects
The ICT PSP Workprogramme 2008 included a theme on Trusted Information Infrastructures and Biometrics Technologies. Following a call for proposals, the BEST NETWORK project was selected.
The main objective of BEST NETWORK is to bring together knowledge and hands-on experience with biometric deployments, addressing gaps in the gathering and dissemination of best practices, lessons learned in the scope of studies, pilots and deployments on European and Member States level.

The ICT-PSP Workprogramme 2007 included a theme on privacy protection infrastructures. Following a call for proposals, the PrivacyOS thematic network project was selected and launched with Commission funding on 1 June 2008.
PrivacyOS is a thematic network for privacy protection infrastructure within the current European Commission´s ICT Policy Support Programme. The Project has started at the beginning of June and brings together industry, SMEs, Government, Academia and Civil Society to foster development and deployment of privacy infrastructures for Europe.
