Researchers' Night - NIGHT

Researchers' Night

Objective

This action aims at supporting the efforts undertaken since 2005 in order to bring researchers closer to the public at large, with a view to enhancing the important role of these researchers in society and in particular their relevance to the daily life of citizens. The form of the call for proposals, which was applied for the first time in 2006, allows for a higher consistency between the actions supported, with respect to their scale as well as to the audience targeted and the messages delivered.

What will be funded

The grant will cover a period up to 7 months (covering the necessary awareness campaign, the activities during the night itself and the impact assessment period). Eligible costs will be those necessary for the completion of the action, in compliance with the cost models applied by the participants. The Community contribution rates for this action are based on the "Coordination and support action" funding scheme.

Participants

It is intended to ensure as large a geographical coverage as possible, involving the maximum number of Member States and Associated countries. Participants can be any legal entity of the Member and Associated States, if relevant constituting a partnership at regional, national or international level.
