Fyns ErhvervsCenter (FEC) is situated in Odense City on the island Funen which is part of the Region South Denmark. FEC is the coordinator of the Danish consortium "Danmark in Europe" who is part of the European Commission's Enterprise Europe Network - EEN launched at the beginning of 2008.
Fyns ErhvervsCenter hosts EU Center Fyn who was member of the European Commission's Euro Info Center network for 20 years. The center's main purpose is to support small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) internationalisation. Fyns ErhvervsCenter also includes TCM Denmark (Traditional Complementary Medicine - development and use of plant-based medicinal products and "Food for Health") and Development Center Aarslev (Research and commercialization activities related to "Plants for Health"). Fyns ErhvervsCenter participates in a number of international projects and partnerships.
The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network of contact points providing information and advice to EU companies on EU matters, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The network is made up of close to 600 partner organisations in more than 40 countries, promoting competitiveness and innovation at the local level in Europe and beyond.
