What is content syndication
As a content provider ICT Results has unique access to research results from projects funded
by the European Commision's ICT programme.
The aim of the service is to make these research results as widely available as possible to
promote the uptake of these results. With that in mind readers can access our content in a
number of ways. Syndication is one of these.
Syndicating content through RSS
ICT Results content is syndicated through RSS, a very popular and widely supported format.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. It is an XML specification
for content syndication used to describe how to display content (also known as a feed) in
software called news aggregators. See our RSS FAQ for more information.
Each aggregator works a little differently, but they all enable users to subscribe to a content
source of interest, organise the chosen feeds and then view them. You just see the hyperlinked
article title and summary allowing you to quickly scan the information. Clicking on the title of
interest takes you to the full article on the source website.
