Under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5)

FP5 consists of seven individual programmes. Four of these programmes are 'thematic' in that they focus on specific scientific areas. The other three are 'horizontal' in that they support activities of general relevance to the whole of the EU research community.

Under the Fourth Framework Programme (FP4)

The Human Potential Programme is the successor of the following programmes:

• Training and Mobility of Researchers Programme (TMR)

• Targeted Socio-economic Research (TSER)
