Opportunities for Organisations: Training Sites and Development Host Fellowships

Marie Curie Training Sites allow young researchers to undertake up to one academic year of their doctoral studies in another country.
Marie Curie Development Host Fellowships allow organisations active in research in EU Less-Favoured Regions to develop new areas of competence by hosting young post-doctoral researchers.

Organisations are eligible to apply to both of these schemes provided they are active in research and can provide adequate training, supervision arrangements and/or research facilities for the young researchers to be hosted.

To be eligible as a Training Site, organisations must be established in an EU Member or Associated State.

To be eligible as a Development Host, organisations must be located in a less-favoured region of the Community.
Marie Curie Training Sites:
To apply for this scheme the host research team must:

be a clearly identifiable part of the company, e.g. a research group or interrelated research groups within the same institution; it consists of a collection of researchers continuously working together on a specified common theme;

be internationally recognised within its respective field;

have proven experience in doctoral training, particularly training post-graduate students from abroad.
Marie Curie Development Host Fellowships:
To apply for this scheme the host research team must:
- be located in a Community Less-Favoured Region
- need to develop new areas of competence compatible with its existing expertise, to enhance high-level research
- be of a size and equipped to allow adequate working conditions for the fellows
- prove a significant standard of research experience, and research collaboration at national and international level.
