Confirming the International Role of community Research
International cooperation in the field of research and technological development (RTD) will be pursued under the 5th Framework Programme, through 2 complementary routes:
- A dedicated cooperation programme «Confirming the international role of Community research», which will focus on specific RTD activities relevant to certain third countries or regions and not addressed by other programmes of the 5th Framework Programme;
- An international cooperation dimension integral to each of the other specific programmes, which will allow the European research community to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of third countries and institutions, through their participation in projects of the 5th Framework Programme.
