Figure 6.4.3: Clusters of interest within the SII Chain
The Interactive Multimedia Services chain will be particularly relevant to DAVIC, DVB, the ATM Forum and TINA-C, as well as ETSI, ITU-T and CEN/CENELEC. It will inform such bodies of issues, suggestions and feedback from the results of Projects' experiments, while at the same time keeping ACTS projects well informed on developments related to their current work. The Chain draws heavily on the work of individual clusters of activities (Figure 6.4.3), and serves to link together the results of those clusters, towards the objectives stated. Most significantly, this chain draws heavily on results of the Broadband Access group of chains, for matters related to the economics and technological convergence of access networks.
Target RecipientsDAVIC, DVB, the ATM Forum, TINA-C, ETSI, ITU-T and CEN/CENELEC, regulators, network operators, service providers, service brokers, European Cable Operators (through ECCA, APEC), manufacturers.
