Workshop on Synthetic/Natural Hybrid Coding

Date: opening day of ECMAST*97, Milan - Italy, 21 May 1997

Organized by: the ACTS European Project VIDAS1

OBJECTIVES

Following the evaluation of the submitted technologies in "synthetic/natural data coding" in response to the Call for Proposal issued by the MPEG "ad hoc group" on Synthetic/Natural Hybrid Coding (SNHC), a full-day workshop will be organized as opening day of ECMAST*97. The workshop will represent an extraordinary event for the demonstration of new multimedia technology and a formidable stage for open discussion, dissemination of information and international coordination toward short-term future actions in the MPEG-4 standardization process.

For the submission procedures and deadlines, please conform to the ECMAST*97 rules as explained in the Call for Papers. To simplify the submissions processing, please indicate clearly that you intend to submit your contribution to the ECMAST workshop.
