Invitation for Expression of Ideas

In the context of the ACTS Programme for R&D in advanced communications technologies and services, the EC is exploring requirements and options for the orientation of future collaborative R&D in the context of the emerging networked information society. You are hereby invited to contribute to the identification, refinement and detailed definition of technology development requirements, options and the related R&D Tasks. These should be of a pre-competitive, pre-normative or pre-regulatory nature, and must clearly be relevant to priorities for trans-European services and applications. They must also respond to the technological challenges for network and service interoperation and service management in the context of liberalisation of telecommunication services by 1998, and have an explicit focus on long-term European information society issues and/or visionary research.
