Information Session on Research Infrastructures under FP7 - Brussels 27 October
The Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7) for the period 2007-2013 is under its way for adoption.
During FP7, the Research Infrastructures activities will continue supporting the existing research infrastructures in all fields of science and technology having as main aim the optimisation of their use and development.
The efforts started during FP6 concerning the support to new research infrastructures of pan-European interest will also continue. This will be done, not only through the support to design studies but also through the support to the construction of new research infrastructures. FP7 aims to provide a catalytic and leveraging support for the construction of critical new facilities based on the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) roadmap for new research infrastructures of pan-European interest. This roadmap was made public on the 19th of October.
In this context, the units in charge of Research Infrastructures of DG Research and DG INFSO jointly organised a information session in Brussels on Research Infrastructures in FP7 which took place the 27th of October 2006 from 14:30 to 16:30.
