TECHNICAL INTRODUCTION
Based on the replies to the Survey, a Fact Sheet for each reported Research
Infrastructure has been compiled. For the Fact Sheets, a subset
of the questions from the Questionnaire was selected. The numbering
of the questions has been maintained. The text of the questions has
however been shortened for practical reasons.
For the full text of the questions, please refer to the Questionnaire
Since each Fact Sheet was generated directly from the information received in response to the Survey, it reflects the replies provided for a given Research Infrastructure. In some cases, however, the information had to be condensed and for several cases, a cutting of the text was unavoidable.
Two separate sets of Fact Sheets are available: One set for the
Existing
Research Infrastructures having participated in the Survey,
one for the reported Research
Infrastructures under construction (within the next 2 years)
The Fact Sheets within each set are organised by country and for each country, sorted alphabetically by Research Infrastructure name.
It is essential to note that the data presented should by no
means be understood as a reflection of the current situation, e.g.
in a given country. The information provided here only represents
an analysis of the responses to the first round of the Survey.
