Part of the mandate of the INNOVATION Programme is to promote a favourable environment for financing the exploitation, adaptation and dissemination of technology. This includes the interlinking of financiers, investors and technology sources as well as initiatives to mobilise private capital for the financing of innovation.
EIMS covers a set of activities aimed at providing firms, intermediaries, academics and policy makers with information, analysis and research on the factors shaping, promoting and inhibiting innovation at company level across Europe. This site includes information about the Community Innovation Survey (CIS).
The INNOVATION programme implements an number of activities aimed at creating awareness of innovation protection systems and promoting the importance of intellectual property rights. This site provides details of a number of operational actions which have been undertaken.
The ENS activity aims at:
- Providing more powerful integrated services for SMEs by encouraging active cooperation between professions
- Facilitating the harmonisation of public support measures
- Linking national networks of suppliers of services in SMEs
The Innovation Management Techniques action line aims to support the efforts of national and regional organisations in promoting structured innovation management techniques in SMEs.
RITTS aims at helping the regions to improve their support infrastructures, as well as their flanking policies for innovation and for technology transfer to SMEs.
The overall aim of the Innovation Projects action line is to support a wide range of projects dealing with the many facets of the innovation process.
Increasing Public Awareness is oriented towards the dissemination of best practices for involving the social actors in the formulation of development options. This site provides access to the European Awareness Scenario Workshops and Training and Dissemination Scheme Projects, both of which aim to promote a more favourable environment for innovation.
