As an integral part of the European Commission's INNOVATION Programme, CORDIS provides information on a vast range of research, development and innovation activities undertaken on a European level.
The Network of IRCs has been set up by the INNOVATION Programme to promote Innovation and Technology Transfer. Each IRC is its region's window on European innovation, helping companies and research organisations transfer technologies and access the EU's research programmes in a transnational framework.
The OPET Network aims to disseminate information on, and promote the benefits of, new innovative energy technologies. These energy technologies cover the areas of renewable energy sources, rationale use of energy in industry, buildings and transport, solid fuels and hydrocarbons.
The VIPS is designed to provide written press and broadcasting journalists with information on the progress of European research projects.
The Innovation Helpdesk offers assistance (free-of-charge) in locating sources of detailed information, such as publications and contact persons, on research and research-related activities of the European Community.
