The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) places a strong focus on innovation.
Therefore all thematic activities include an innovation component.
Beside this horizontal dimension of innovation throughout FP6, two activity fields address innovation specifically: Research & Innovation and Development of Innovation Policies.
For Small and Medium Sized (SMEs) enterprises, there is a specific activity which is intended to strengthen their technology capabilities.
