ARTEMIS Mirror Group

ARTEMIS logo As part of its governance structure, the Mirror Group of ARTEMIS gathers representatives of the public authorities from Member States, Associated Candidate Countries or Framework Programme Associated States having active and ambitious policies or programmes to develop and deploy technologies in the area of embedded intelligent systems. This group acts in co-operation with the Steering Board and has a crucial role to play in goal and target setting, proposing actions and providing opinion and feedback on strategies, activities and results generated through the platform operations.

The main goals of the Mirror Group are the coordination of relevant national, regional or local programmes and initiatives in the area of embedded intelligent systems in view of implementing the ARTEMIS Strategic Agenda and advancing the European Research Area. From a wider perspective, it aims to help close the loop between technology development and policy-making to promote a fertile innovation environment and a state-of-the art research infrastructure in the area of embedded intelligent systems. The Mirror Group will be formally established in the next ARTEMIS governance meeting of public authorities in Vienna on the 17th of February 2005.

Meeting of Mirror Group, Paris, 30th June 2005

This meeting took place during the ARTEMIS Conference 2005 to discuss pending issues on the structure and operations of the possible JTI and to prepare an action plan for the upcoming months.

Meeting of Mirror Group Vice-chairs, Brussels, 10th June 2005

This meeting was called to discuss the work of the Funding Strategy WG and to prepare the Mirror Group meetings at the ARTEMIS conference in Paris.

The purpose of this extra-ordinary meeting was to discuss the developments on the preparation of a possible Joint Technology Initiative in the area of embedded systems.

Mirror Group Meeting, Vienna, 17th February 2005

The Mirror Group of public authorities kicks off its activities at this meeting. The main points are:

  • Agree and adopt the rules of procedure and elect vice-chairs
  • Discuss at the integration of EU, Eureka and national/regional programmes
  • Look at the Strategic Research Agenda
