Previous RTD programmes
The eInclusion topic is an extension of the eAccessibility domain which was present in the previous Framework programmes and in the TIDE initiative (before FP4) for covering the technological issues related to disability and to ageing. One of the successes of these past activities was to enable European researchers in this domain to get to know each other and to learn to work together. The challenge in the FP6 is now to strengthen co-ordination between these teams in order to achieve a European Research Area in this domain.
