- Twelfth meeting of the Global Grid Forum whose primary objective is to promote and support the development, deployment, and implementation of Grid technologies and applications via the creation and documentation of "best practices" - technical specifications, user experiences, and implementation guidelines.
The GGF12 programme has two parts. First, it will provide the usual forum for technical managers, product strategists, and academic researchers to engage in the technological issues of grid computing via working and research groups and through workshops and tutorials. Additionally, a plenary programme with the theme of "Grids Deployed in the Enterprise" will also be offered on 20-21 September. This latter programme is aimed at senior management from enterprises who are exploring the viability of grid computing for their organisation. - 15-17 September 2004
- European Grid Technology Days 2004: IST - FP6 Grid projects launch and concertation

- The event that is organised by the European Commission in close collaboration with the GRIDSTART and NEXTGRID projects will consist of a public launch of all FP6 IST Grid projects on September 15 followed by a two days internal concertation meeting with closed technical workshops led by project participants. The new EU Grid Technology research initiative will be exhaustively presented, debated and kicked off.
