Towards a common Vision and strategy.
The ERA co-ordination study
The ERA co-ordination study in the field of Networked Enterprise & RFID has been launched in December 2006. A website has been launched (October 2007). It provides the study interaction tools (web consultation, discussion forum, profiles of relevant actors). Also, the portal is used as the main project's documents repository.
The strategic aim of this study is to facilitate the networking and contribute to the understanding of how to create better synergies between European, national, and regional research innovation programmes in four key research areas:
- Collaborative Business Networks,
- Digital Ecosystems for Business Innovation,
- Enterprise Interoperability, and
- Ambient Intelligence Technologies for the Product Lifecycle,
to improve the impact of the research efforts in Europe and to reinforce the enterprise competitiveness. Read more (PDF, 39KB)
The specific objectives include the following:
- analysis of the main European, national and regional funded research and deployment ICT policies/initiatives and ongoing D5 projects;
- identification of national and regional representatives from the public sector, potential members of the community of national/regional decision makers, as well as 'knowledge hubs' and launch of discussions;
- organisation of workshops on the identified key actions;
- identification of good practices and recommended actions to promote improved co-ordination at European, national and regional levels.
The activities will cover all EU Member States.
