- Ambient Intelligence (Fifth Framework Programme)

- Data Telematics (Third Framework Programme)
- Telematics refers to the broad industry related to using computers in concert with telecommunications systems. This includes dial-up services to the internet as well as numerous networks that rely on a telecommunications system and data.
- Multimedia Telematics (Fourth Framework Programme)
- The use of computers to present text, graphics, video, animation, and sound in an integrated way. Multimedia is available in virtually all new-generation PCs, though resolution quality differs depending on computer power and software. Telematics refers to the broad industry related to using computers in concert with telecommunications systems.
