At the FP5 IST Programme level, plans for each activity were detailed in a yearly Work Programme. This was organised around Action Lines to which the Calls for Proposals of future projects were linked.
IST provided specific support for individuals, businesses and public authorities interested in or involved in research and development affecting Key Action 1: Systems and Services for the Citizen. It also believed in supporting Cross-Programme Themes and technology projects spanning the entire Fifth Framework Programme.
IST Projects are summarised in the form of Fact Sheets, which can be located in several ways. The work being done in Key Action 1 was built around a number of projects grouped into specific technical areas for their mutual benefit. For a wider range of projects with possible relevance to the topics of this sector, the project pages of the other sectors of KA1 might be of interest e.g. Health, Transport & Tourism, Administrations.
Also the other IST Key Actions, Generic Activities and Cross Programme Actions have project pages organised by subject. In addition, the other programme's websites, in particular for Quality of Life, could be worth browsing for project information.
Search Facilities are also directly provided with the CORDIS Fact Sheets database: either at the level of the IST Programme Projects or at the whole CORDIS Projects level (registration required).
