At the IST Programme level, the yearly work programme sets out detailed plans for each activity. These are organised around action lines for which calls for proposals are issued.
IST provides specific support for individuals, businesses and public authorities interested in or involved in research and development in the area covered by Key Action 2: "New Methods of Work & Electronic Commerce". It also supports Cross-Programme Themes and technology projects spanning the entire Fifth Framework Programme.
The work being done in Key Action 2 is built around a number of projects grouped into specific technical areas for their mutual benefit.
