KA2 in the Workprogramme 1999, 2000, 2001

Over the past three years the IST Programme has produced yearly work programmes. The description and content of KAII Action Lines have evolved to reflect the technology evolution and the political priorities, in particular the growing importance of the eEurope strategy.

The Fourth Framework Programme (FP4)

Information and communications technologies (ICT) programmes under the Fourth RTD Framework Programme (FP4), which ran from 1994-1998, were implemented under three core programme activities - ACTS, Esprit and Telematics Applications (TAPS). Under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5: 1998-2002), these three programmes evolved into the IST Programme - a single and integrated programme reflecting the convergence of information processing, communications and media.
