eContent
E-content in line with eEurope
E-content is a European Union programme to support the production, use and distribution of European digital content, and to promote linguistic diversity on global networks. It also achieves a third, eEurope, objective which is to stimulate the use and take-up of the internet across Europe. The programme is centred on the need of European businesses and citizens to access and use high-quality content suited to their needs.
This four-year programme runs from 2001 to 2005 and has a budget of 100 million euro.
