Future and Emerging Control Systems
Workshop profile
- Objective:
- The goal of this workshop is to go beyond the current IST work-programme content and identify and discuss important topics and possible synergies, which, through R&D, could help accelerate the scientific and technological achievements in priority areas of control systems within a promising time horizon.
- Scope:
- To explore future oriented areas for research and new ways of active networking and collaboration of teams and /or individual experts and where appropriate jointly with industry. Discuss the role and positioning of "control" disciplines within the scientific and technological landscape of the 21st century and relevant links to other disciplines and sectors.
- Note:
- Three broad groups are invited: control theory researchers, real-time control systems researchers and very advanced control applications research specialists.
- As initial topics for consideration are proposed
- Control theory, control of complex and hybrid systems,
- Real- time aspects and control systems implementation
but discussions may not be limited to these.
