- IST Guide for Proposers Part 1
- Part 1 of the Guide for Proposers (Version 2001) provides a general outline of FP5 and the IST programme, together with the main rules and conditions for participation. It does not vary from call to call.

- Parts 2 of the Guide for Proposals are call specific providing detailed guidelines for the call for proposals in question. Parts 2 of the Guide for Proposals can be accessed from the specific web pages established for each call.
- FP5 Evaluation Manual
- The Evaluation Manual provides - in a single document - the "ground rules" or guidelines for the evaluation of proposals for all EU-funded research projects.
- IST Guidelines for Evaluators
- The Guidelines for Evaluators are call specific. They define the procedure applied to the evaluation of proposals submitted in response to the current call. They can be accessed from the web pages for each call.
- Proposal Preparation Tool (ProTool)
- Software tool to enable proposers to prepare the administrative and technical information of a proposal in conformity with the appropriate submission forms. ProTool can be accessed via:
