De-regulated Mobile Communication Networks: Open Architectures and Business Models
Dresden, Germany
The IST project whyless.com organises a workshop to debate novel regulatory scenarios in mobile and wireless communications. Project findings support the expectation of a substantial market expansion with economical benefits for large and particularly small and medium size enterprises if market entrance barriers can be reduced. De- regulation is considered an important element in achieving a wider industrial participation in the mobile and wireless market segment. More information can be found at www.whyless.org.
The workshop will be based on whyless.com project findings but concentrate on the impact of reduced regulation at various layers of mobile service provision. Keynote speakers have been invited to address current European issues in (de)regulation and related issues in the United States of America (see workshop program). Registration to the workshop is free and includes lunch and beverages.
Please note that the capacity of the conference room is limited and that registration will be suspended when the capacity limit is reached.
