17.10.2007 5 - 7 December 2007: EuroBioForum, Lisbon (Portugal) EuroBioForum is an annual event and key part of EuroBioFund, funded through a FP6 Specific Support Action to identify future grand challenges in the life sciences which require a coordinated European approach for their financing and implementation. The Forum is providing a networking event for professionals from science, industry, government, foundations and finance. EuroBioForum is an official event of the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union.

17.10.2007 30 March 2007: Workshop "NANODIAB", Brussels, Belgium : this workshop brought together leading scientists from the fields of diabetes, nanostructured biomaterials research, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JRDF) with the Commission's Officers from Unit F2 and G3 of DG Research with responsibilities for health and nanotechnology in FP7.

09.04.2006 The European Commission (EC), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) will be present at the BIO 2006 Annual International Convention in Chicago (9-12 April 2006) . A joint EU Pavilion will highlight Europe's role in supporting research and innovation in the life sciences and promote Europe as a highly competitive knowledge-based economy with opportunities for research, partnering and business.
22.03.2006 Fifth call of "Scientific Support to Policies" (SSP-5), including a special call on avian influenza . This call for proposals has a closing date on 22 March 2006. As for all SSP calls, the instruments are: STREP, CA and SSA projects.
