Enterprise Europe Network - Your local support
For a number of years, local support was provided by Innovation Relay Centres (IRCs). They were set up as independent business and technology consulting organisations, supported by the European Commission's DG Enterprise. Most IRCs were themselves network-based, being composed of a consortium of partners thus ensuring easy geographic accessibility.
Their responsibilities have been taken over by the Enterprise Europe Network. The Network has 572 member organisations from across 45 countries. It has a variety of members, from chambers of commerce to companies and government entities. Besides individual country branches, there are 17 sector groups, covering such areas as agrofood, transport, environment, space, energy and more.
Enterprise Europe Network members can help you with a variety of services, including:
- Inward and outward technology transfer
- Promotion of research and funding
- Stimulation of the capacity of companies to adopt new technologies and develop internationally
- Promotion of transnational innovation initiatives
- Provision of information on intellectual property and legal issues
