NEST Proposal Selection
NEST is following an innovative approach in the evaluation and selection of proposals with a number of important novelties for the framework programme, like:
- For ADVENTURE and INSIGHT proposals, a two-stage submission and
selection procedure starting with the assessment of 5-page outline proposals
followed by the assessment of a reduced number of selected full proposals is
applied. For PATHFINDER proposals, however, there is only one stage with the
submission of full proposals.
- A peer review system that is based on i) a limited set of evaluation criteria in the outline stage, ii) remote individual assessments followed by a scientific panel assessment giving final funding recommendations, iii) user-friendly and resource-efficient procedures.
- A comprehensive feedback to applicants with an Evaluation Summary Report that contains all individual expert statements and provides a maximum of transparency to applicants.
