'Bridging research in ageing and ICT development final conference', Prague, Czech Republic

The final BRAID Conference will present results achieved by the project, encompassing the roadmap and implementation activities.

The BRAID Conference will present results achieved by the project, encompassing the roadmap and implementation activities. The one-day meeting seeks to discuss socio- economic aspects in ICT and ageing that influence and shape recreational activities across different life settings and mechanisms that empower older people to live independently and fulfilled. The conference will provide space for stakeholders to exchange and discuss the results from practical experiences including best practice projects and failed approaches in the field of ICT and ageing. In response to the call for abstracts the BRAID consortium received a range of submissions based upon the conference theme areas: . Road mapping projects: ICT, Ageing, Health, Wellness, Disability . Recreation in life for ageing populations: Entertainment, leisure and education, ICT training, learning models and infrastructure, access to communities, voluntary commitment, activities to reduce and prevent loneliness and isolation . Independent living technology and services, infrastructure, technology-based empowerment, daily life assistance, ensure mobility and accessibility to family, carers and the community, safe and secure environments .
