Converging on Eindhoven - REMOURBAN present over three days for the EIP SCC GA
As this is a unique gathering of the Smart Cities community from across Europe, various meetings and workshops will be held nearby before and after the General Assembly.

The line-up of events will be the point of convergence of numerous SCC projects including REMOURBAN. Many members of our project team and our lighthouse cities are primed to deliver their insights and share their experience.

On 23 May seven REMOURBAN partners will be participating in the Lighthouse Projects Meeting organised by EUROCITIES. This takes the form of a workshop which will look specifically at creating links for scaling smart cities solutions.

The General Assembly takes place on the following day. This third edition will focus on key policy and market trends for smart cities and communities, and on networking and clustering activities. The agenda features a set of action clusters. REMOURBAN coordinators Fundación CARTIF along with youris.com in charge of communication and dissemination will be participating in two of them: Integrated Planning and Citizens Focus. The first deals with innovation forms of smart city policies and regulations needed for large scale implementation of smart cities. The second looks at how to amplify the conversation with citizens, how to better engage with them and empower them in the decisions around ICT, mobility and energy for the urban environment.

On the third day of presence in Eindhoven, follower city Seraing (Belgium) will participate in the H2020 Smart City lighthouse replication initiative “Shaping the European Smart City Market through Replication, Business Models & Financing Instruments”. Under REMOURBAN, Seraing is leading the take up from the project’s three lighthouse Cities and working alongside Miskolc (Hungary), another follower city eager to replicate. The workshop will also include partner Officinae Verdi who plays a key role in developing and replicating the REMOURBAN model. The REMOURBAN team will share their experience on replication strategies and approaches alongside projects Triangulum and GrowSmarter.
