Open Call for Tenders: Pilot Lines Network for promoting the use of nanocomposites in building constructions and civil infrastructure

The call for tenders is part of the activities planned within the scope of NANOLEAP project. The aim of the call is to carry out a pilot programme to test and validate the feasibility and the operation of the future network of Pilot Plants to be set up by NANOLEAP consortium. The pilot programme will select, through an open call for tenders, a number of Micro, Small, Medium or Large size enterprises interested in carrying out a research project or developing innovative products and processes.

The call for tenders is part of the activities planned within the scope of NANOLEAP project. The aim of the call is to carry out a pilot programme to test and validate the feasibility and the operation of the future network of Pilot Plants to be set up by NANOLEAP consortium. The pilot programme will select, through an open call for tenders, a number of Micro, Small, Medium and Large size enterprises1 (target companies for NANOLEAP network) interested in carrying out a research project or a product development in any of the NANOLEAP pilot plants. The selected applicants will be granted access during 6 months to any of the NANOLEAP network’s pilot plants to carry out a research project or a business case. In addition to the use of the pilot plants, a number of consulting services will be provided by NANOLEAP network as part of the action. Deadline for the submission of Tenders: 15th of July 2017. More information about the Open Call for Tenders: http://www.nanoleap.eu/open-call. Three documents can be downloaded from this web site. In the part A of Annex I, the overall list of infrastructures, including their equipment and capacities, and services offered by each Pilot Plant (PP) are described. Furthermore, the number of hours available for the use of the facilities (during the scope of the action) is also specified for each pilot plant. The eight pilot plants of NANOLEAP network available for this “Call for Tenders” are listed below: - PP1.Nanopowders production by Inductively Coupled Plasma - PP2.Production of Consolidate Nanoparticles by Spray-Drying - PP3.Pilot line facilities for development of custom-made functional nanocomposite coatings - PP4.Production of functionalized nanoclays and smart coatings - PP5.Production of limewash based coatings incorporating carbon nanomaterials for indoor use - PP6.Lacquering and laminating process roll to roll to produce multilayer nanocomposite films - PP7.Roll to roll nanoimprinting pilot plant of multifunctional polymeric films - PP8.Production of polymer aerogels via freeze drying In Part B of Annex I, a description of the consulting services supporting the activities in the pilot plants, as well as the number of hours available per use during the scope of the action, is provided. These services will include: Product Characterisation and Testing, screening Life Cycle Analysis and Life Cycle Cost, Composite material processing & testing, Training on nanocomposite, Training in Nanosafety, Engineering consultancy, Market Analysis, Business Model, IPR strategy, Technology Transfer, Patent landscaping and Mapping of key players.
