The European Research Project INCASI (International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities) holds its second Workshop in Europe The coordinating institutions of the project met together with the beneficiary universities of Europe in Tenerife (Spain), on July 6 and 7 for the second phase of the project. © INCASI Pedro López Roldán, coordinator of the network belonging to the Institut d’Estudios del Treball (IET) and Sandra Fachelli, Task manager and researcher of the Grupo de Investigación en Educación y Trabajo (GRET), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, met on July 6 and 7 in Tenerife (Spain) with the European Main Responsible Investigators of the Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad de Sevilla, Universidade da Coruña, Universidad de La Laguna, Middlesex University, Tampereen Yliopisto, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università della Calabria and the Université de Toulouse Jean Jaurès, as members of the INCASI project, to carry out the second Workshop in Europe to advance the second Work Package of the project. The two-day meeting dealt with issues related to the secondment of researchers planned for the second phase of the project, addressed the details of the INCASI Working Paper Series (IWPS), the scientific production and discussed the basis for the construction of the model Analytical model AMOSIT (Analytical Model of Social Inequalities and Trajectories). In this phase of the project, from the contribution of the different groups of the INCASI network, it is a question of agreeing and defining a common research perspective according to the proposal of the AMOSIT analysis model. It establishes the main theoretical and conceptual aspects on which articulate the research on the network. INTER-CONGRESS MEETING Comité CI-6 (Desigualdad y Estratificación Social) of the FES In order to join forces in the scientific area, the INCASI project united its meeting with that of the CI-6 Committee (Inequality and Social Stratification) of the Spanish Federation of Sociology held in the same locality Tenerife (Spain) during the days 10 and 11 of July. Among the INCASI researchers who presented research advances there were Ildefonso Marqués, Main Responsible Investigator by the Universidad de Sevilla; Laura Oso, Main Responsible Investigator by the Universidade da Coruña; José Saturnino, Main Responsible Investigator by the Universidad de La Laguna; Pedro López-Roldán, Main coordinator of the INCASI network; Sandra Fachelli, Task Manager and researcher of the INCASI network y Antonio Martím Artiles, researcher of the INCASI network and Director of the Institut d’Estudis del Treball of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Global Meeting 2018 The second phase of the project will conclude with the second Global Meeting to be held during the next 1, 2, 3 and 4 March 2018 in Barcelona, Spain, with the Principal Investigators of all European university beneficiaries and partners of the INCASI project. The second Global Meeting will reopen work spaces, reflection and dissemination in relation to the thematic axes of the project and thematic research groups, where the participation of other researchers as well as actors and agents relevant to the third sector, media, government officials and public administration. INCASI (International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities) The INCASI network is part of the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program of the European Commission in the section of Excellent Sciences. In particular, it is part of the pillar designed to foster transnational, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of pre-doctoral and postdoctoral researchers through the MSCA. The project is identified by GA code No 691004. Specifically, it is based on international academic cooperation, between Europe and Latin America, through the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) of the 20 universities that make up the network. The objective is to create and consolidate a research and training network between Europe and Latin America, establishing the conceptual and methodological basis for developing a longer-term international comparative research program, and for designing an international postgraduate study program analyse social inequalities in a comparative perspective.
