The European Commission has published a call for proposals concerning the training programme for professionals from the European audiovisual programme industry (Media II - training, 1996 to 2000).

The aim is to improve vocational and initial in-service training for audiovisual professionals to give them the knowledge and skills to take into account the European market - as well as other markets - including:

- Economic and commercial management;
- Use and development of new technology for audiovisual programme production;
- Scriptwriting techniques.
